ADD Hosts Another Successful Event!

Thanks to all the Members and guests who joined us last Thursday, October 25, at Union Jack’s for the kickoff of the Annapolis Design District’s (ADD) Annual Membership Drive.  We had over 100 attendees, and the overall feedback was that everyone enjoyed the opportunity to see some familiar faces, network with peers, and make new connections.

Mayor Gavin Buckley dropped in to vocalize his support of the ADD and shared some local news, including inviting everyone to attend the Día de Los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) block party on November 2 taking place between Edgewood and Margaret Avenues starting at 5:00 p.m. (for more information, visit the Center of Help website).  ADD President, Jessica White, handed out several door prizes and touched upon the new Membership levels.  We’ll be sending out an email shortly with detailed information on the new structure.  The student winners of the ADD/AACC Student Design Competition for “The Hub” project also were announced during the evening.  (For more information on “The Hub” and the winners, click here.)

This year’s Membership Drive will run from October 25 to January 31.  During this time frame, Members are invited to renew their membership and non-Members are invited to join with the one-time application fee being waived.  This year we are also inviting new Members to join now for 2019 and receive the final quarter of 2018 at no cost.  Please visit the Member Benefits and Join pages for additional information.

We’ll be winding down the 2018 calendar year soon with the hope that one of our showroom Members will host a holiday party (hint, hint!).  Please contact annapolisdesigndistrict@gmail.com if you’d like to host and our Event’s Chair will contact you to help coordinate the event.  We’re looking forward to another successful year in 2019!
